TAIWAN-based Malaysian singer-actor Nicholas Teo is considerably more adventurous these days as his career is constantly abuzz with opportunities.'
“In the past, I might have been too rational and too concerned about the outcome. Now, I’m more open to exploring different possibilities,” said Teo, who was bright-eyed and cheery despite being unwell.

Even for love scenes, he has moved from innocent accidental kisses and sweet stolen kisses to fiery and passionate ones – not what you would have expected from one with gentle eyes and a disarming smile.
“These days I’m more inclined to say ‘let it be’ and just happily do whatever is required. I don’t want to waste my energy on unfounded worries,” Teo said, commenting on his readiness to move beyond his comfort zone and also responding to a query about going shirtless in a music video and posing with a bare-backed model for a photoshoot.
The Kuching-born lad was in Kuala Lumpur recently to promote his fourth and latest studio album The Moment Of Silence (Chen Mo De Shun Jian). Teo sported a grey sports jacket worn over a black-and-white striped tee and blue jeans ripped at the knee paired with slip-on canvas shoes with cartoon prints.
The Moment Of Silence topped the Weekly Top 20 Mandarin charts of both Taiwan’s G-Music and Five Music billboards upon its release (June 6). Now, barely a month later, he is already releasing a repacked edition.
Yes, his moments of silence may be few and far between these days as he is now enjoying well-deserved success. Things are really moving along rather speedily for Teo who will be flying to South Korea soon to start filming a musical love story.1

“I love to eat so I’d like to take up some cooking lessons. Not so much of desserts as those need a lot of attention to detail, but more of savoury dishes that I enjoy eating so much.”
Would his lady love have to be adept at cooking too? “Not necessarily, but she should enjoy going around looking out for good food with me,” mused Teo, who said he does not mind going the distance for good food.
Due to his father’s recent illness, he has often been asked whether he would be settling down soon.
“What happened to my father has certainly changed my outlook in life tremendously. Although I’d like to have someone to share my life with, it’s not time yet to consider settling down.”
Adding to his ever-growing list of product endorsements, the popular singer was recently appointed as the brand ambassador for Alba watches in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Taiwan.
